Meditation is a practice of relaxed mental discipline, that over time can create beneficial new habits of thought and attitude. It involves stilling the mind and body to achieve a state of inner calmness and peace, and it allows you to move beyond your physical and emotional state and limitations and get in touch with your true essence. People who practice mediation regularly can enhance their mental, physical and emotional wellbeing.
What is Meditation?
What is Mindfulness?
Mindfulness refers to a set of techniques which involve “a conscious attempt to focus on something in a non-analytical way”. Mindfulness is a practice you can use at any moment. It simply means being more aware of your thoughts, actions, feelings, and environment. Mindfulness is a tool that is often used during meditation, but it does not require the stillness and structure that meditation does.
I often use self-compassion practices in my sessions, which include being mindful of our thoughts, feelings, and sensations with a sense of self-kindness and self-advocacy, while also acknowledging that we are not alone in our suffering.

Marianna (and Jenn) presented thoughtful, compassionate classes using mindfulness strategies, meditations, and EFT (tapping) to create connection and help with stress relief during this very taxing pandemic. I joyfully and highly recommend them and will continue to take classes in the future.
