“If you change the way you breathe, you can change your life”. Breathwork is a process that encourages everyone to experience, express and release his or her emotions. It involves using the breath to facilitate change and transformation. During a breathwork session, the conscious control of breathing is meant to influence a person’s mental, emotional and/or physical state. In general, the goal of any breathwork therapy is to support people in achieving a greater sense of self-awareness and a capacity for self-healing. It also helps people work toward overall improvement in mental, physical, and spiritual well-being.
There are many different styles of breathwork. The type of breathwork we teach is “Conscious Connected Breathing”, which involves deep, diaphragmatic, continuous breathing through the mouth. This experiential process is combined with insight and guidance by the breathwork coach.
